Wear Protection Elements [WPE]
Our WPE is manufactured from 56 shore D polyurethane, a field-proven subsea system that is known for its excellent wear & impact resistance properties.

The design is installable by ROV & incorporates an external ROV grip profile on the element. The ROV grip is specifically sized to suit traditional ROV grip tools.

The open assembly encompasses the Riser upon engagement and engages a primary latch, allowing the secondary locking mechanism to be installed.
Higning pins, produced from Superduplex UNS S32760, are installed with a shakeproof lock to maintain position throughout the service life of the assembly.

Testing
The pre-production qualification testing of the ROV Installed WPE will be performed in
Sirona’s workshops in accordance with a client approved Pre-Production qualification Test (PPQT) Procedure document.
The WPE will be subjected to an extensive In-house test programme prior to the client witnessed test & shall include the following:
